Welcome to Alabama Chapter 24
The Alabama Chapter 24 of the International Right of Way Association (IRWA) brings together professionals who help make infrastructure development possible across our state.
Our members represent a diverse range of disciplines involved in the acquisition, management, and transfer of right of way for utilities, transportation, telecommunications, and other public and private infrastructure projects.
Through education, professional development, networking, and the exchange of industry knowledge, we work to strengthen the right of way profession while supporting the infrastructure that drives economic growth, connects communities, and improves quality of life throughout Alabama.

What Do We Do
We support right of way professionals across a wide range of disciplines through education, professional development, networking, and the exchange of industry knowledge and best practices. Our goal is to strengthen professional competence while promoting the core values of ethics, integrity, fairness, and trust that are essential to the right of way profession. By encouraging high professional standards and providing opportunities to learn from one another, Alabama Chapter 24 helps our members better serve property owners, their organizations, their communities, and the public while maintaining the trust that is fundamental to successful right of way work.
Our Hope For the Future
As Alabama continues to grow, so does the need for the infrastructure that connects and serves our communities—from transportation, energy, and telecommunications to water, wastewater, and other essential public services. Behind each of these projects are right of way professionals helping move critical infrastructure from concept to reality. Our hope is to strengthen the future of the profession by introducing students, young professionals, and those exploring new career paths to the diverse opportunities available within the right of way industry. Through outreach, education, mentorship, and increased engagement with schools, colleges, universities, and emerging professionals, Alabama Chapter 24 seeks to build awareness, develop future leaders, and inspire the next generation of right of way professionals.
